Saturday 27th December, meeting at 10.00am, The Shepherds Inn, Melmerby
Work off your Christmas waistline by joining us on a bracing yomp to the top of beautiful Melmerby Scar.
Our route is circular - it begins and ends at The Shepherds Inn, covers 7 miles / 11 km, climbs to a height of 709 metres and will take about 3 hours to walk.
Along the way we’ll take in England’s finest views (weather permitting!) and walk along what is probably the best preserved stretch of original Roman Road in Britain!
A trophy will be awarded to the fastest competitor.
The entry fee is £5.00 per adult, which includes a Shepherds Pie lunch at the pub after The Challenge. The rest of the money will go to the Melmerby Village Hall fund.
For entry tickets and further details, please contact Jason Brownlee on 01768 881321 or email jason.brownlee@gmail.com
